P4 worked closely with NWTC to secure temporary planning permission for the ‘winterisation’ of Manchester’s Oast House and Birmingham’s Canal House. These schemes sought to provide a weather-proof outdoor space to support and improve the venues’ existing operations during winter months which is critical to maintaining trade in response to rising costs and offsetting the impacts from the covid pandemic. At The Oast House, this involved the installation of a large tipi within the existing external seating area, while the Canal House saw the construction of a pergola and cabin structure.
