Hazel Grove Sixth Form Extension
Client
The Laurus Trust
Local Planning Authority
Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council
Working on behalf of the Laurus Trust, P4 Planning secured full planning permission in 2022 for the refurbishment and extension of the existing sixth form at Hazel Grove High School. The existing 1980s building had come to the end of its life and no longer met the modern requirements of the school.
The plans incorporated the refurbishment and extension of the existing building, providing an additional storey. The new space will incorporate specialist study areas, a dedicated ICT room, study and breakout spaces, space for assemblies and eight new classrooms enabling the school to offer a wider provision of courses, allowing students to continue their education at Hazel Grove, rather than having to go elsewhere.
