We prepared a robust planning strategy for the Bright Futures Educational Trust and gave our input to a funding bid for new sporting facilities and classrooms at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls.
Following the successful bid we worked closely with Bowker Sadler Architecture, providing the planning input needed to make sure the scheme’s design and siting was sympathetic to the conservation area, within which the school is based.
We project managed the planning application and secured planning approval for the scheme which includes a new 1,400m² multi-purpose sports hall, changing rooms, new classrooms and landscaping.
As well as transforming the sporting facilities, benefitting the school’s current and future pupils, the plans will also help to deliver much needed additional school places across the borough and significantly enhance the quality of sports facilities for this leading girls’ school.
The development was shortlisted in 2022 for the Project of the Year – Schools award by the Education Estates Awards.
