P4 Planning is celebrating being shortlisted as a finalist at this year’s RTPI Awards and the only firm based in the North West in the Small Planning Consultancy category.
The national awards, which are the longest running and most high-profile awards in the industry, aim to showcase and reward outstanding achievements and raise awareness of the work carried out by planning professionals in the UK.
In making the shortlist P4 has been recognised for its work in achieving high quality planning solutions and demonstrating a commitment to developing bespoke strategies for individual projects. By combining thorough research with early collaborative discussion, the P4 team is able to drive forward pragmatic and hard-working solutions for its clients who range from large institutions such as the University of Liverpool to smaller establishments such as the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.
Says Bill Davidson, Director at P4 Planning: “Everyone at P4 understands the importance of place and our role in helping shape the built environment and these awards are a fantastic recognition of the contribution planning and planners make to society. We encourage fresh thinking, agile working and breaking with routine to help deliver the very best solutions.”
Another area recognised by the award is P4’s approach to staff development and wider business improvements. Says Bill: “We ensure our staff have every opportunity for personal development and are able to seek out new opportunities for learning and leadership. Our team is core to our success and we are extremely focussed and committed to our vision to making better places through tenacity, talent and fresh thinking.
“Although we are a fairly small team, we have three RTPI assessors out of only seven RTPI qualified staff, so are well placed to help support the next generation of chartered planners as we look to expand.”
